You CANNOT out exercise a bad diet
Nutrition is extremely important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Have you heard the saying, “You are what you eat?”. Diet is the way you eat. Period. Whether you are an athlete who follows a very healthy “diet” or a weekend warrior who enjoys beer, hamburger, French fries and cheesecake most nights, that is your “diet”. It is under YOUR control. Now, please do not take this to mean that you should never have some of your favorite treats. I am a true believer of moderation. Eat your veggies, grains, fish, chicken breast, all of the good stuff FIRST. Satisfy the hunger and you will be less likely to go off the deep end with the not so good stuff.
